QRI5 is an individually administered informal reading assessment strategy which is designed to provide information on how well a student is reading. It uses graded words lists and passages.  The assessment is used to help asses students reading levels and where they are up to in their reading skills.  Based on this assessment, the teacher can create lessons that help promote students' achievement and growth. In addition, students can receive the proper help and intervention they need based on the results of the assessment.
